If a nursing home is needed- I am not POA, What's the best way to sign to protect myself?

THEY can't make you sign anything. If they say "oh, then we won't take her" get up and walk out.

You really can't sign anything. You don't have the authority. Don't sign anything that holds you responsible for the cost of your grandmothers care. A couple of weeks back you said then she may be released to a NH. Did u talk to a lawyer? You may have to allow the State to take over her care. Without POA you should not be handling this.

yea she went for rehab and they almost killed her so she's home now on hospice my sweet granny is no trouble just we have to turn and change her- are neighbors been great but i also worry about burn out. my mom was her only child and she died 2016

You should not be signing anything with your own name. They can get the person to "make their mark" or they can have the court appoint a guardian if the person cannot understand how to agree to a contract. YOU sign NOTHING and let them know you will not be signing anything. This signing makes you responsible for any words written on the contract.
