I’d like to relocate to Montana and would like to know the best way to get into the in-home senior care gig as an independent caregiver in a new town.

If you have experience in this field you should have references and a resume listing your most recent jobs. You will need to know if there's any regulations or certifications required for Montana. And you will need to network and advertise.

If you are new to caregiving, you will still need to know if there's any regulations or certifications required by Montana. Even if there's not, I'd take some classes (see a local college, or online or First Aid/CPR certification) and have an understanding of dementia/ALZ to make your care more professional and valuable. It would help your "marketability" if you were bonded and insured as well, and could provide a criminal background check. You will need to network and advertise to find clients. Good luck!
