The bank account is in her name and her 2 children's names. Can they take the money from her children to pay for the father's care. After his wife dies????

If his name isn’t on the bank account then no, Medicaid cannot take the money after his wife dies. Assuming the 2 children are joint owners with their mother, when she dies legally they own the account. Medicaid cannot touch the account.

if he is on Medicaid. They will take everything. Will even look back five years of his financial statement.

Medicaid will not take everything. And they can’t touch assets that aren’t in the OPs dads name.

If the account is JTWROS, the children will get the money and they can do whatever they want with it.

Do you mean Medicaid? Is he on Medicaid now? Whatever accounts his name is on are the accounts the county will be looking at.
