Okay, this is a different question than the original one that was posted.

If you get sent to the ER and it is determined that you are in need of home care, I imagine there would be a social worker involved who could make contact with a Home Health agency, if that was ordered by the doctor.

Are you having difficulty getting home health care in place yourself?

No, ER doesn't get you in home care with Medicare paying. You would need to be admitted and probably be in the hospital for 3 days before rehab or in home care would be considered. Even if you were able to get in home care, it is only for the time needed for Physical Therapy and any woundcare, etc needed. Once the person is in no need for the service, it stops. Medicare does not pay for care in the home. Medicaid does for those who fit the criteria.
