If my sister-in-law is put in Assisted living in FL how would she pay for hospital visits if no funds because Medicaid takes all but $50?

If she is a “dual” which means she is on Medicare & Medicaid; then between the M&Ms all her health care cost Should be covered. Now she is going to have to see providers that take both Medicare & Medicaid - that’s the sticky part in being dual.

If being on Medicaid is all new & just happened, you/her contact all her old docs and ask if they take both. If not, then she will have to ask around. There’s going to be others at this AL who are duals & have names of MDs they see. Good luck.
