If my grandma puts my name on her bank account, will it affect my Medicaid, SNAP and HUD benefits?

So,
My grandma has recently expressed that she wants to add my name to her bank account in case something happens to her. I am currently unemployed & receiving SNAP & Medicaid for my 3 month old son. Me and my son also live with his grandmother who is receiving HUD benefits. Will this affect anything ?She has approximately 20k in her account.

Pamstegma , thanks for answering my question. If she were to add my name to the account, would I be obligated to pay back medicaid for the expenses they paid for me & my son?

Your benefits would definitely screech to a halt. They would not resume until you have spent the money all down to less than $2000. If Grandma wants to leave you something she should see a lawyer and establish a Trust for your son.
