Thank you for your answer. I will look into medicaid as my parents do not have enough retirement to live and pay me to we live in California

Your parents can pay you to be their caregiver. They have SS and maybe other retirement as income and can do a "personal services" contract with you for caregiving. They issue you a W-2 and you pay taxes on the income. You are legally working. The contract will need to be drawn up by an elder law attorney and done correctly to comply with your state's laws so that IF in the future they need to apply for Medicaid, there will be no penalty on the payments by Medicaid.
