I would like to move closer to family, but I have a guardian and a case worker who have been in charge of my living conditions. Can you assist me?

Maybe there is a reason you need to live where u do, money. Seems you are competent enough to use a computer can you not get your guardian and caseworker to help you go where you want? Like said, get your daughter involved.

In my experience with a guardianship situation in my family, we requested they move my stepFIL closer to where we live and they did accommodate this request. It would probably help if your daughter also appealed to the guardian. At the rapidly rising price of gas plus her having a newborn it is an ongoing hardship on her end as well as yours.

If they deny the request I would ask them why. It may be there are not enough beds available in that city (I know Big Lake, my stepMIL lives there and it's not nearly as big as Minneapolis). Even if they can get you closer, like to Monticello or Rogers, it would be a reasonable compromise -- for now. I wish you much success in moving closer and finding a better facility!

You would need your guardian to assist you, or if you are not happy with your guardian, you would need to go to court and have the guardianship changed. Your daughter would likely need to play a role in this if this were to happen. Best wishes.
