To and from Seattle to Denver to get POA. Do I now need to pay back those three months to medicaid? The NH wants me to sign them over to them and sign that I am the responsibility party

I can't answer the first part of your question, but I would caution you against acknowledging in writing that you're the responsible party, because it could obligate you to pay for costs not paid for by insurance, or costs incurred if she's not covered by Medicare. Don't guarantee any payments!

When you sign applications or other documents, always sign "Lynnederie, pursuant to (Durable) Power of Attorney for xxxx, dated February ....., 2016."

uh oh, you did bad. Once they go in the NH, all their money goes with them. As POA you are legally responsible to make sure the NH gets their share of cost.
