Hi!

I live in rural TN and have some serious health issues. Nobody here does the treatment I need. One of the issues can be treated, almost cured, at U of M University. I have been in bed for 2 years trying to find help to organize, pack and deep clean areas of my home. I can't find anyone. The locals steal whatever they can, and the companies in the city don't service this area. Realtors are of zero help and the senior movers only move you to assisted living. I am only 56 but I have tried to do it myself and end up back in bed. It would take 5 days max and I would pay. I just want someone who knows what they are doing. 2 years searching for 5 days work is ridiculous!!

I live between Knoxville and Chattanooga. It can't be paid for by insurance. I also need the outside powerwashed. I told my realtor that this is not unheard of when she acted like I was asking for the moon. Especially as seniors start to retire. She just wanted it done so she could list the house. Really upset me. I am on SSD and she should know I will need assistance.

Does anyone know of a company that does this? Thank you.

Try “Angie’s List” or “Home Advisor” on the internet (not Craig’s List; I don’t care for them) and change realtors. The realtor should be helping you with finding the necessary local resources to help pack up.

Hi Shane.
I tried both multiple times. The listings are out of state, in areas that wont service my town, or locals with bad reputations. They keep changing the name of the company.
I have called 6 realtors. They act like I am crazy that I need help. Thanks.

I would find another realtor once your contract is up. I would tell her she has been no help.

Call your local Office of aging and see if they can help. You cannot be the only person in this situation. Call around to the Churches. Ask if they have a Scout troop associated with them. Maybe even some members who would be willing to help. Call your Lions Club or Rotary.

If you have the service in your area, try calling 2-1-1. They can hook you up with an agency who can help. You can also look on Facebook for ads for cleaning companies and moving companies will also pack for an extra fee. I’m surprised your realtor is of so little help. They usually have contacts who can help. Maybe a new realtor would be of more help?

Well, in TN everyone has family members closeby. So most people don't need this help. It is unfortunate that the realtors are of such little help. Thankyou.
