I need to find a nursing home for my mom. Any advice?

My mom has no money but SS and I can no longer care for her. I need to work. I have no money to help her, we're in Virginia Beach, VA.

Work with her PCP. Does she qualify for a SNF?

Contact your Area Agency on Aging (every county has one) to be guided to the right state agency. An assessment will be made of her medical needs and she should apply for Medicaid to pay for her Long Term Care.
