Find Care & Housing
Are you on Medicaid for Health Insurance. They may supply transportation.

Otherwise, like suggested. Call your local Office on Aging. They may provide Senior bussing. Do you belong to a Church, some have volunteers for this type of thing. A Senior center near by?

Bob, I sincerely apologize for an erroneous assumption.  For some reason I thought you needed the ride today.

I hope you find good transit and that the surgery is successful.   Best of luck to you!

Bob, the next time you have an appointment it would be advisable to make arrangements prior to the date, especially for surgery.

This is a question that could be addressed by the "surgery boarders" working for the doctor handling the operation.  They may be able to offer other means of getting to and from the hospital.

Houston is a large enough city to have a transportation system that likely has a "small bus" or direct transit for seniors or others who need transportation.

This is a forum of people offering opinions, and to my knowledge, there isn't anyone available to provide transportation for you.

I think the best thing you can do is call the doctor's office IMMEDIATELY, explain the situation, and have them reschedule the inpatient operation.    The operating room and other arrangements have presumably been made and they'll need to know that you're not able to get a ride.

Alternately, you could try a taxi, or contact your local senior center (although I doubt they're open on a Saturday).

I hope you can get in touch with the doctor's office or hospital in enough time to reschedule the surgery.

BTW, are you a Veteran?

Call the med center, tell them the situation and see if they can offer help. What about Uber? Or is there a senior center that has volunteers? Call the Area Agency on Aging.
