I'm a senior sex offender that's terminally ill and need a nursing home in Alabama. Where can I start?

I would start with a social worker, because if you are on a sex offender's list it will be almost impossible to place you. You may also consider a Geriatric Care Manager. This is going to be a problem I suspect. I can tell you right off the bat, if I ran a nursing home with helpless people housed in close quarters I would not for all the money in the world take any risk with their well being, and I would not, for all the money in the world accept you as a resident. You may not find placement.

if you’re not feeling well or doing well go to the best hospital in your area. I know Alabama can be rough, but find the best hospital and go to the er. Tell the nurse and dr you need to see a social worker. Ask the social worker for help.

With a diagnosis that is terminal it is possible that you would qualify for Hospice. If so a Social Worker might be able to help locate a facility that would have a bed available.

Call Council on Aging in your area to see if they have any recommendations for you. After they do a needs assessment they can guide you through the process of finding help.
