I have lived here for 60 years and need to organize, throw out and downsize during the time it is on the market, and I can't do both without help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. This move came up quickly and unexpectedly.

Helping people to organize and sort is something many would be willing to do. If you belong to a church or religious organization I'd ask if they have a Care ministry leader you can contact for help. My church does this. Many churches don't even need you to be a member or practice that faith. Or, contact your local area's Agency on Aging for resources.

God bless you!

Suggestions:

1. Where are you going *to*? Do a rough sketch of the layout, including storage areas etc., and list what you're going to want where when you get there.
2. Get estimates from reputable house movers who offer packing services.
3. The rest of the pea-patch... how big is "here"? Are we talking a full-scale family house and grounds? If so, is there any family who might want to request or claim items? - and if that's so, they can jolly well roll up their sleeves and pitch in with the rest of the project, too.
4. Research "house clearance services" in your local area, but be very careful about whom you're approaching.

I think that's enough to be getting on with for this morning, at least :) Are you excited about the move? You sound positive, so I hope so. Hugs.
