I keep thinking if I were healthy I would be better at taking care of my MILs needs. She is still in a NH for her rehab.

If all of us were healthier, stronger, younger, richer, brighter etc etc, we could all do better at everything. But as the people we care about age, so do we! Since she is in rehab, have her evaluated for the NH if there is one attached. If not still ask for the eval and have her transferred to a facility. If she has no money other than SS and maybe a pension, start the Medicaid application. Tell husband you can no longer care for her. She is his responsibility. Tell him he can do the hands on. Really don't think he will. Good Luck.
