He is barely able to work and we are concerned that his work will soon let him go. He is a severe diabetic, has recently had a stroke that affects his memory some and several other health issues.
Senior/disabled housing that is paid for on a sliding scale, according to what the person can afford. My MIL only paid $200 a month since she had virtually no money.
As far as needing help, I guess he will need to get home health services to help him with things he needs help with.

- contact an attorney familiar with disability issues for a consult (1st one may be free)
- talk to a social worker about SSDI, Section 8 housing, Medicaid qualification and whether he needs AL or a group home instead.
If you are not wishing to manage his medical/financial affairs or make his decisions in an ongoing basis (which is your decision to make and no judgments), you might want to discuss guardianship by the county with the social worker and what that would take and what it would "look" like in his life going forward.
