I think this may be a question for a lawyer. I would think they would consider half hers.

Yes, I agree. I believe the same, however, I've read that they consider 100% ownership to be hers.. I will take your advise and check with an elder care lawyer.

I have heard what Niece said but that may have to do with a checking account. I was told by a lawyer to have my Moms name removed off of nephews acct because Medicaid may consider it hers.

Can you clearly show who supplied what amount of funds? If her name is on it, they may well consider it hers and therefore you would need to document who actually owns what.
