I'm disabled & can't care for Great-Aunt. I had to admit her to a Nursing Home. She's a permanent resident. Who do I contact about SSI?

Her SSI benefits are deposited into her Bank Account. I don't want to keep withdrawing money to pay for her stay. I never dealt with this. Who can I contact so that her benefits can go directly to the facility. I initially thought the nursing home would handle this once she was found eligible for Medicaid as well. I live in NYC and I've been trying to get information, but not getting the proper help. Can someone Please direct me. I truly appreciate some viable feedback. Thank you!

Do you have POA?

Are you her POA? All I did was sign a paper at the NH giving them permission to become her payee for SS and her small pension. That was it.

Contact the nursing home, they should be able to help you get them appointed as her rep payee.
