You cannot afford? The bill doesn't come to you. It is your Dad's responsibility to pay for his care. If your Dad is without funds then a Social Worker will help him with applications to medicaid and will place him in a nursing home. This is best done from a hospital admission, or easiest done. It is time you move on with your own life and visit your father when you choose to, and when you can easily walk away from any verbal abuse. Why would you give up your life to an abusive person? Not everyone is deserving of our giving up our lives. Hope you will update us.
Adr, is this something new with your Dad? If yes, then take Dad to his primary doctor or urgent care to see if Dad has an Urinary Tract Infection. Such an infection can make older people not be very user friendly :(
I see from your profile that your Dad is 95 and has Alzheimer's/Dementia, plus other health issues, try calling your State Medicaid office to see if your Dad can qualify for Medicaid. Each State has their own programs. You might find something that works well for your Dad.
