My mom is in a hospital with slight dementia and some injuries, she is also my representative. Can I get Power of Attorney if mom is my representative payee, and I'm on disability?

I’d imagine that it would be best to have a family member be your mom’s DPOA and also have the same family member become your representative payee. Cause as your mom’s dementia increases cannot be able to keep up with being your representative payee.

Is there someone in the family who can do this? It doesn’t have to be a brother or sister. It could be a cousin or a cousins spouse.

Are you able to access $ if you need it? Or is your mom being in the hospital right now placing you in a tough spot to get things done? Buy groceries, pay bills? Get to the hospital to see your mom?
