Is there a friend or family member who has respect for you, who would ask their attorney for an attorney he could recommend for you. I had an attorney who unnecessarily complicated other matters when Mother and I were found to have a great Mother /daughter relationship. Politics can enter the issue and have great weight. Who made the accusations? The Ombudsman who was available to me broke down and cried when I was reciting to her how my Mother was put on a downward slide, almost blinded and ready for memory care or hospice, that my hours were cut, lies were being made up about me. I wanted to remove Mother from that facility. She agreed with me and told me so in an emotional outburst but later said she never said that. My son got Mother out of that hellhole. It is approx a year later at another facility. Basically myself with the help from my son and a friend are with Mom 24 x 7.  She has made great progress in a year in the new facility, we are up to going to go to an elder attorney who will set up matters so that my brother cannot interfere with my POA of Health Care like he did before or have her put in a Medicaid Facility when she runs out of money.  He lives out of town, is not involved, but yells and threatens us.  Mother never wants to be without me.  I promised her and God that I will never leave her.
The new facility is in my community. I am well thought of here, my son is friends with staff, I am accepted and friends with staff  and residents.  The suggestions above are good but nothing is simple. This is from experience and from my heart.  If you were support, help and your uncle is a Loved One, do what you can and if first you do not succeed try again, rely on your intuition, look for the accusers weak spots, rely on your intuition and look for an opening. It was so hurtful, but keep your eye on God's promises. Mother and I are Blessed to be together and with our family with God's love in our hearts. Please tell us more.
