I see a need to move her to another living situation. It most likely will need to be done involuntarily. How do I go about doing this?

Is your Mother currently well?

Have you discussed the possibility of moving? If so, how does she feel about that?

I image if she doesn't agree or see the need you will have a jolly hard time.

Is she safe where she currently lives?

That depends on what the need is and why you feel a change is necessary.

I am guardian for my dad. I had to have court permission to move him although we moved him before the permission was granted because things are slow in my state and it was going to take too long.

I was in same boat with my grandma. I had guardianship after my mother passed away. I just made arrangements with new facilities to move my grandma with dementia. Waited a few days after move and she never knew she moved. Facilities did all paperwork for the move.

Use a therapeutic fib to get her into the facility. The admin will be experienced in this and glad to help if you arrange it in advance. You can tell mom her current residence has an infestation or mold or gas leak and she has to stay at this new place for a while. Wishing you success and a peaceful transition.

You are the guardian. As such I would think you are able to do what ever needs to be done for the safety of ur Mom. She has been deemed incompetent to make informed decisions. So you make them for her.

Under the circumstances maybe the police can help.
