My husband has had Vascular Dementia for over 10 years. In last stages. How do you help deal with bad dreams while sleeping?

Is there a medicine I should ask to try? He jumps in his sleep and talks and wakes himself up.

My Mom had night terrors. I would wake her up and have her open her eyes. She then would go back to sleep with no problems.
Call his doctor and ask if there is something.
