Probably 2x/bathroom, others dreaming, hungry or feels need for medication. Most times needs help. Many times cannot get up alone or needs bathroom help so I am getting 3-5 hours sleep/nite.

Judi, I see from your profile that your hubby is in his late 70's... the extra bathroom runs are pretty common as we age.

Question, does hubby need your help walking to bathroom during the day? As for the night time, is he fully awake when he is hungry or need medication? Is he talking any prescription meds to make him sleepy, such as Ambien? If he is, you will need to tell his doctor what is going on, because meds, such as Ambien, can make you sleep walk... even sleep walk to the kitchen and eating. My sig other fell down the stairs couple weeks ago while sleep walking on Ambien.

Very little help during the day...mostly pulling up pants w/ balance problem (even w/bars). Usually fully awake but occasionally confused. No sleep meds as they caused hallucinations. I try to allow 1 dose of meds during nite. (already takes some at bedtime).hopefully around 2-3AM but often takes as early as 12M. and then wants more around 3A. Doesn't seem to hurt...Neuro Dr says OK. There are times he is up 7-8 x/nite (9P to 5P) ..............I'm TIRED!
