His digestion is excellent and his appetite is small. He only wants to eat twice a day - a late breakfast and a fairly early dinner. Should this be treated as a chronic medication? He has never had an ulcer or even indigestion.

The doctor is not in my town. He is attached to the hospital where my husband was. It was he who wrote "to prevent ulcers". I will however consult with my husband's usual doctor. Thanks for your quick reply.

I have had orders written on a discharge paper that didn't make sense more than once. Best to discuss with a doctor who know your husband. Good luck!
