If he has dementia hadn't you better get the police? Never mind do you know, does *he* know where he's gone?

Did he tell you where he was going or did he just wander off in his car or on foot? Either way, I think you need to tell the police that he is missing and that he has dementia. He just might not be thinking straight.

If  not, I think you need to see a therapist.

Janbill,
Can you give more information about your husband leaving? Did he wander off; or decide to move out; leave with a caregiver; move in with his family? Is he missing?
What stage is he having Alzheimer's? Would he be considered incompetent to make those decisions?

Are you home alone, and do you have health concerns?
