Because of COVID I restrain myself, I have to keep safe

If you've had the vaccine for Covid, then there should be no reason not to go visit him now, as most nursing facilities are back open for indoor visits now. Your profile doesn't say where you live, so unless you live in one of the states that are far behind with their openings, you shouldn't have any excuse.

I have a dear friend who hadn't seen his wife(who is in her 16th year of Alzheimer's)for well over a year because of Covid, and he just started back with his indoor visits about a month ago. He was so happy to finally get to see her, but was saddened as well at the progression of the disease.

Life is too short. Get your vaccine so you can go see him, or at least have them bring him outside so you can spend some time with him. No more excuses.
