I don't know if you could qualify for Medicaid. That depends on how many assets you have -- savings, property, etc. Something you may want to look into is a Medigap package from Medicare. I imagine your husband is beyond his initial enrollment period, so the premiums would be higher now. Still it may be worth your while to check.

I have a friend whose husband has a lot of medication he has to take. They chose Medicare Part F for him. There are different Medicare choices based on what the needs are. These would be something to think about if you have too much to qualify for Medicaid. If the only thing you had was the income you mentioned, you may be able to qualify for Medicaid. You could apply and see if you do. There is information and you can start your application at www.medicaid.gov.
