He has diahrea and it is bad. He has no pain to speak of, just a mishap. Luckily it happens at home. When do I worry about this and seek a doctor's visit?

Fancicoffee7, if it is a reaction to food, keep a diary log of what hubby is eating... eventually you will see a pattern.

My Dad found out a few years ago that he can no longer tolerate regular milk, so now he uses Lactaid type milk.

Had to give Dad a crash course on what is dairy as Dad didn't realize ice cream, cottage cheese, regular cheese and sour cream were dairy..... Dad would just eat what Mom places in front of him, and her theory is *a little bit won't hurt* :P

We only have a home health care nurse once a year in his insurance. He doesn't like yogurt and yes, it has been the last 2-3 days with this. But, he doesn't have it very often. I think he is ok, just wanted some advice. He is on Breo Elipta and other meds that don't bother him this way.

Francicofee, if the problem is once in awhile I wouldn't worry about it. I think we all have this situation once in awhile.

What helps me is a yogurt once in awhile. For my mother-in-law, it is a couple tablespoons of cooked regular rain before a meal. I am sure we all have our cures that work for regular old fashioned diarrhea.

Now if it become a daily or every other day issue, then seek out the advice of a doctor.

fancicoffee, some meds like Aricept can cause loose bowels. If he is dehydrated, call the MD. Tell the nurse about it when she comes by. You do have a visiting nurse, right?
