The fear occurs when he wakes up at night and he screams for help. Also, this is occurring if he falls asleep in his wheelchair. We are considering buying a Sizewise Lowboy bed, but not sure this will remedy the problem, due to our current mattresses on floor with same results.
With bedrails or a mattress on the floor, there is nothing for him to fear. Have you involved a neurologist or psychiatrist in his care?
