Find Care & Housing
She gets major points for the "whore's bath" (my Mom used to call them the same thing.)
At least she WANTS to wash her hair!

Maybe a favorite treat after Friday's "torture" is over?

103!! It’s very nice of you to help your mother so much. You must be in your 70s, 80s. How do you find time + energy for YOU?

I agree with cwillie:
portable shampoo tray

I am 69 and not married. no kids. Fortunately my mom is on her computer all day and I can be on mine. My cousin momsits and I escape to my apartment in NY about once a week but it's getting harder to do that.

I will have to google "portable shampoo tray". Thanks

I second the idea of a portable shampoo tray, there are all kinds of different styles from elaborate to very simple (I diy'ed the one for my mom from a $2 dish washing tray LOL).

If she's resistant to that there are no rinse shampoos, although I personally would try to have a good wash and rinse periodically.

I can't imagine what these portable shampoo trays are. After I'm done reading these wonderful suggestions, I'll google.

Well,
It sounds like you tried my go to, the seat and wand.

Amazon has some portable hairwashing basins, but it looks like you'd have to position her-how mobile is she? (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=hospital+bath+pan&crid=UL9E8K3NP7W2&ref=nb_sb_ss_shopnav-of-top_3)

There are also these shampoo caps--this one got good reviews-might try it out on mom...
