Find Care & Housing
I saw this and had to laugh. I went through this last year. I don't know about yours but mine spit the "skins" out all over the place. I spent all of my time digging "skins" off furniture and the floors (wait till you step on them- yuck). Now I remove anything that will feel like a "skin" to her. Peeling everything is a pain but much better than dealing with it after it's been chewed. Good luck :)

PS- I still have to deal with spit out "globs" of food (bread etc). It still gags me sometimes. I give her a box of kleenex while she eats and sometimes she'll "hide" the glob in one so at least I don't have to see it. I also put a piece of paper towel over her plate when she's done so it's easier to clean- just grab her fork and use that to "wipe" the papertowel (and everything underneath) into the garbage-

Serve her food on her plate. Take the skin off and cut everything in bites.
Make sure all her teeth are ok.

my mom can not seem to keep all her food down so she ends up coughing most of it up little by little into a pile of napkins i leave by her plate every time and a basket next to her chair for them.
