Moving Mom to a higher level of care, a different type of assisted living. She will have her own room but as it's different, I wonder what to do to the room to make it feel like it is hers? I know her clothes will be there, her pictures, her furniture is minimal because she falls on it. I have made a couple 'sign's out of stick-on lettering with her name on it; one to put on the outside of the door. One to put on the inside. Plus I'll make a sign showing which door is the bathroom door. I'm putting bird food in the feeder outside the window. No rugs because of the fall risk. Anything else. I am anticipating her putting up a big fuss due to her dementia and tolerating change poorly.
