My Dad had a stroke and we are private paying for 24/7 home health aides. He is 100% service connected disability. I’ve been told by the VA that he qualifies for 16 hours non skilled aide and 16 hours respite per week. Nursing home is not an option at the moment due to Covid-19. How was it determined that he would receive 32 hours? Is it possible for a person to receive more? Is it possible to appeal the decision that he would get 32 hours per week? He resides in North Dakota.

This is really something you need to ask the VA.
