The individual is so finicky about odd tastes. We have tried pulverizing pills to mix with applesauce and other favorite foods but somehow the nasty taste of the meds seems to permeate the taste and individual refuses to take. Examples of some meds include Namenda, Aripiprazole, Galantamine, Trazadone, Simvastatin and Mirtazapine. It is our understanding that many meds can now be given in a monthly injection, anyone have experience with that. With pets they make a product called pill pockets which is a great way for dogs to take nasty tasting meds. Do they have something similar for humans. Because of the fact the person is so sensitive to tasting even traces of the meds in food they are not getting much needed medication at this point. the doctor doesn't seem to be good at giving helpful ideas. Stressed out and need ideas.

First off it sounds like a lot of meds. Talk to the MD about what he really needs. Next, talk to the pharmacist about improving the taste. For my dog, I just wrap the pill with some soft cheese, or hide it in peanut butter.
You could try some fruit rollups as a wrapper.

find a fruit or maybe applesauce and crush the pill and put it in there and that way the taste of the medicine won't bother them.
