Is it that your son and his wife are emotionally abusive to their two children? Do you think this is their short-term response to a particular crisis? Or a habitual pattern that needs breaking?
How old are the grandchildren? If they are school age, I wonder if you might be able to access counsellors discreetly and find resources and support that way. If they are younger, what about calling CPS in confidence and asking for initial guidance?
