I just found out the nursing home hasn’t been cleaning my mom's dentures because “she won’t let them”. Shouldn’t the nurses insist and get this task done daily???

Find Care & Housing
The staff in nursing homes and ALFs cannot force a resident to do anything at all. If they did, we'd be seeing posts complaining about it, that's for sure! If your mother is asked to take her dentures out to be cleaned and doesn't, she will be left alone. If she's asked to take them out and she does, the staff will soak them overnight. Especially when dementia is involved, the more a person 'insists' a resident do something, the more likely they are to resist. Just goes with the territory. I see my mother do it all the time.

Best of luck!

No. She wasn’t able to do that herself with her dementia
