If the pre-paid is with the funeral home, you would need to contact the funeral home to make any changes and to have them figure out the price differences.

If you already have a grave plot, then the funeral home will contact the cemetery. Or do you wish to change the grave plot to a metal box for cremations, these boxes are like locked file drawers, which are less expensive then a grave plot. You can use either one.

My prepay was put into a trust by the Funeral home. In this instance I think the trust could be transferred.
