Find Care & Housing
If the have available space they can get someone in ASAP once all the proper papers are completed.
Pretty sure they would need a physical, TB skin test or blood test depending on where you live.
Maybe the easiest way and fastest way would be next time they fall and are transported tell the Social Worker that they can not be discharged back home as it is unsafe. They will help look for a facility either Assisted Living or if this person has dementia then Memory Care that would have an opening.

Do you realize what the cost is for an AL? My Mom paid 5k a month and that was 5 yrs ago and she got a discount. No one on SSD can afford an AL unless they have a lot of money or at least a house to sell. You can check with ur State Medicaid and see if they will pay for an AL. But most States don't. My State u have to pay privately for at least 2 yrs for Medicaid to pay. At 5k a month, thats 120k in 2 years. Probably more now.

The other option would be LTC with Medicaid paying but he needs to be 24/7 care.

I do not have POA over him. I had a friend of him check on him today and myself and my brother will be visiting him tomorrow. His friend and I are in the process of helping him get into assisted living.

If you are that concerned call the police to do a wellness check immediately.

Also need more info:

- are you his PoA or legal guardian?
- is he cognitively incapacitated?
- how old is he?
- does he have the financial ability to pay for AL?
- what is his state of residence?
