Find Care & Housing
Ed_there are many variables that come into the pricing for assisted living-To begin with, they vary from state to state; the level of care or (tier) plays a role on the costs, as the more care that is provided, the higher the costs; and lastly there are in some areas Not-for-profit vs For profit facilities. Once you have establised the 'best fit'-you then might want to get on a waiting list.
Good luck in your search-and if possible try not to schedule any appointments in advance...as you want to check out a facility-as it actually is (and not what is prepared in advance)..
Best,
Hap

It varies and depends on which state you are in, which city, etc. The home my mother is in costs around $4500/mo. for private pay. She is on Medicaid and her cost is only about $1200/mo. That is Missouri......others here can give you different pricing I imagine. Is there private insurance, long-term care policy? There are several different ways that the bill is paid.
