It's so expensive to keep someone at home. I would love to find a live in sitter with weekends off. How much does this usually cost and what is required? Mom needs diaper changes and small meals and company!!! That’s the most important!! She has cancer and is on hospice. Doing exceptionally well.
Most people will tell you that it is cheaper to place their parent in an assisted living facility rather than private pay.
There are advantages of having an entire staff in a facility. Plus, they offer amenities in the facility such as, a chapel, hair salon, restaurant, exercise room, library, etc.
It’s a personal choice as to how this is handled.
