How is radiation given to the throat? Will I be enclosed?

Your MD will write an order and the radiologist will make careful calculations about how much and where it is dosed. You will by lying down and wear a form fitted face mask to keep you from moving. You can ask for a sedative if this makes you nervous.

when my husband had radiation to throat they made a mask that he wore.
