She made me the POA and her caregiver but never gave me a copy. Would it be at the law office? Three years ago mom went to a lawyer with me in this town and had her will redone. I am the POA and main caregiver. At 93 she is more frail every year and has been in the ER several times a year. I realize I never got a copy of that will. Yesterday I had an opportunity to be in her apartment without her being there and searched for the will. The folder was empty. She can't be asked, reasoned with: she is in a non-stop volatile stage now. How can I get copies of the will and prepare for all the things I'd need in a real emergency? I need some suggestions or ideas.
She has helpers from an elder agency and I asked them twice to have mom and I sit down together to face the future but they haven't gotten to it.

Thanks,Pam. I am not sure where the POA is. It might be with the will.

A good attorney would file a copy with the county clerk for her home address. Check there too. Bring your POA with you.

Her attorney should have a copy of her will. Check with him first.
