Find Care & Housing
It's paid for by Medicare. I'd have a consult with a rep from the Hospice agency that you pick. They explain everything and how it works. The patient nor their family pay anything and they can get you needed equipment and supplies really fast! However, make sure that you ask about future medical testing and doctor/hospital visits after you are on Hospice. They told me there are restrictions regarding what your insurance will pay for, if you are on Hospice. That's why we are to call them before taking her to a hospital. They need to access the matter first. Which is fine by me. One relief is that my LO isn't packed up and sent to the ER at all hours for basically no reason.

If in a facility, they don't pay for the facility just the care.

No, they don't take his SS check. Medicare will pay for any durable equipment, A hospital bed. Depends, wipes. An aide. Call your doctor for recommendations. He will have to sign an order for the care.

Hi, Medicare covers it. You should call Hospice and talk with them. I called 2 in the local area, and one sent representatives to the house to meet us. They both said Medicare would cover in-home or in-facility care.
