Did anyone mention Hospice? or a Nursing Home? I feel your pain, and you should think about getting services for him via Medicaid if you can.

he was in a nursing home prior to this. the experience was so bad for him and me also that I have had a fear of nursing home since. I will check hospice not too familiar with it. I thought it was for end stage diseases. I was told he did not qualify for Mcaid. Thanks for the advice

You could have been told wrong about Medicaid - he is fully disabled and quite ill. It depends some on his age and his assets. He may actually be hospice qualifed at this point, if further strokes can't be prevented and he is not a candidate for rehab.

someone would have to come from hospice to evaluate him. he does not have to be within six months of dying. I believe he may qualify. it's certainly worth contacting them. area on aging can lead you to other services.
if he qualifies for medicaid you can get home health services. you can hire someone now and have your brother pay until he runs out of money and then will qualify for medicaid.
you have got to get some other kind of help especially since you have a full-time job and many responsibilities. your health will suffer and you could certainly have a burn out.
