How do I help my loved one transition to a facility?

Does anyone have any tips for re entering a new facility as my loved one who needs 24/7 care and supervision doesn’t want to go to put it mildly, but needs the stay with me until it’s finished. Should I try to detach myself emotionally so to speak, as this is the plan?
They will be staying with me for a couple months.

Coleyne, since your Mom is already with you, try to re-arrange her bedroom similar to how she had it at the last facility, if at all possible. Nothing more scary then waking up and not recognize where you are.
