How high does the ramp have to go? In my area, the code says for every 1 inch of height (the porch or doorway), one needs the ramp to be one foot long. A 27 inch high porch would need to be 27 feet long.
But don't take my word for it. Directions and measurements are online, and at Home Depot.
Our ramp used 3 eight foot plywood boards to cover it, so it was 24 ft. long.

The Handiworker Program put the stairs back, I no longer need a wheelchair.
