Call an agency that has home services or handyman service as lealonnie wrote. Volunteers or high school students may not work out well.

Look up 'Handyman Services' in your area and call one of them. In my neck of the woods, we have a service that sends out a handyman (who's bonded by the company) to do whatever you need him to do; no minimum amount of time is required and no job is too small. I've called them (The Handyman Connection) for all sorts of odd jobs I've needed done in my home and they've been very easy to deal with.

Does your community have any service clubs such as Rotary or Kiwanis? You'd get help in a heartbeat.

Call your local high school and ask if any students need community service hours.

Call a local church and ask for assistance.

All these options will help lead you to the right place if they themselves aren't the right ones.

I guess you have no family? Do you have any teens in the area that would like to make a little extra money? Maybe a neighbor. Do you belong to a Church? Maybe a member can help.

Call a housekeeper, pay the required 4 hours minimum required.
Once there, ask for help.
