Find Care & Housing
I note you haven't been back to fill us in.
I am going to assume that you wish to be paid for caring for relative through governmental funding.
Start with a call to your local council or agency on aging. They can steer you to where to best check out programs for your state.
You can also call your mother's supplemental insurance, call state Medicaid if she is on Medicaid, and call Medicare or check the websites of any of those entities.
It's a place to start on your research.

As well as the above, go to the AgingCare timeline and type in "getting paid to do elder care" and a bunch of old questions and answers are sure to pop up for you to explore.

Good luck.

I'm guessing that you want to know how to be able to get paid for caring for a loved one. Other than your loved one paying you out of their pocket, you can try Medicaid if they are on that as they typically will pay for a few hours per week. Also the VA will pay for some hours as well if your LO is a veteran.
Those are the only choices that I'm aware of.

Can you let me know exactly what question you have, Cookie?
Do know we are just caregivers from all around the State.
If you are asking what programs our own states have I think that's a bit heavy to attempt to type out, but you will be able to look them up on the internet if you are interested.
