How do I convince my Nana (95) that the phone works fine?

in the last 6 months my nana had bought 3 new home phones because she is convinced they dont work
they work perfectly fine she just cant figure out how to use them even after showing her repeatedly
she also refuse to let us get her a simple phone like one for seniors with big buttons and no extras
I dont know what to say to her that will make her realize that its not the phone its her

Go ahead and buy her the phone with the big buttons. Get it all set up for her and she how she likes it. When she's able to work it with no problem she might change her mind.

Too may buttons, too confusing. You are right, the big buttons and no extras would be the best, as the old fashioned landline phones are ingrained in an elders mind on how to use. I would just order her one and plug it in.

My Dad is 94 and he has zero problem with the old fashioned landlines. One time I had him try out a mobile landline but he would forget to recharge it at night because that wasn't something one normally does with a telephone.
